25th LAMS Matera Award” - International Festival/Contest for young musicians - Edition 2025: live & online
The LAMS Matera Award, a historic international competition dedicated to young musicians, reaches its twenty-fifth edition in 2025, confirming itself as one of the most relevant initiatives on the Lucanian musical and cultural scene.
Sections and categories
The competition is open to musicians of all ages and nationalities, students and graduates of Conservatories, Institutes and Schools of Music.
Soloists: Piano, Strings, Wind Instruments, Guitar, Percussion, Accordion, Harp
Chamber music and ensembles: instrumental and/or vocal ensembles from the Baroque to the present day
Music No Limits: preschools, primary and secondary schools (soloists, choirs, orchestras, instrumental groups)
Prizes
The total prize pool is € 5,000, divided between:
Paid concerts, scholarships and special prizes
Absolute Prize for the winners of sections 1–6
Young Talents Concerts:
1° Classified: € 1,000, 2° Classified: € 750, 3° Classified: € 500
Audience Award: € 100
Music No Limits: voucher for musical instruments and accessories
NEW 2025: the overall winner (with the highest score) of the online sections will be awarded one or more PRIZE CONCERTS "LAMS – MATERA 2019" worth € 500
Participation methods
Two modes of your choice:
Live in Matera (John Paul II Auditorium – Palazzo Viceconte for the final) from 27 to 30 November 2025
Online with videos published on the LAMS YouTube channel from 28 to 30 November 2025
